Freelance Translator – English to Vietnamese, Legal & Insurance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Translate and proofread documents for diverse clients.

• Prepare and finalize translated materials prior to client delivery.

• Perform translations from English into Vietnamese.

• Manage translation tasks within the Legal and Insurance industries.

• Collaborate effectively with managers and Project Managers.

• Successfully complete Translation, MTPE, and/or Proofreading/QM skills assessments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities in Vietnamese.

• Expertise in Legal domains.

• Strong attention to detail, including spelling and grammar accuracy.

• Capacity to maintain professionalism in all scenarios, particularly under tight deadlines.

• Candidates are required to sign a confidentiality agreement.

• Applicants must complete complimentary Translation, MTPE, and/or Proofreading/QM assessments.

• A degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies, or an equivalent qualification with substantial translation training from an accredited institution; OR

• 2 years of translation experience alongside a college degree; OR

• 5 years of translation experience without a college degree; OR

• A certificate of competence in translation issued by a relevant government authority.

• Proficiency in English-to-Vietnamese translation.

• Experience in Legal and/or Insurance translation.
