Freelance Translator, English to Vietnamese – Legal, Insurance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Convert documents from English to Vietnamese.

• Review and edit documents for a diverse range of clients.

• Prepare and finalize deliverables prior to submission to clients.

• Work collaboratively with Project Managers under managerial supervision.

• Offer translation services specifically for the Legal and Insurance industries.

• Undertake Translation, MTPE, and/or Proofreading/QM assessments to gauge proficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in Vietnamese.

• Expertise in Legal sectors.

• Strong attention to detail, including spelling and grammar accuracy.

• Capacity to uphold professionalism in all circumstances, particularly when under tight deadlines.

• Candidates are required to sign a confidentiality agreement.

• Candidates must complete complimentary Translation, MTPE, and/or Proofreading/QM assessments.

• A degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies, or a comparable qualification with substantial translation training from an accredited higher education institution; OR

• Two years of translation experience along with a college degree; OR

• Five years of translation experience without a college degree; OR

• A certificate of competency in translation issued by an appropriate governmental authority.

• Relevant experience in translation, MTPE, and proofreading/QM.

• Proficiency in translating from English into Vietnamese.

• Experience in Legal and/or Insurance translation.
