Freelance Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Oversee various client projects spanning different industries and time zones, ensuring that scope, timelines, and budgets are adhered to.

• Establish project scope, deliverables, and success metrics in collaboration with clients.

• Facilitate client discovery sessions to clarify business requirements.

• Decompose intricate requirements into manageable engineering iterations.

• Keep project documentation, backlogs, and roadmaps up to date.

• Conduct Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and reviews.

• Provide clients with regular updates regarding project status, risks, and key decisions.

• Define and estimate project scopes, contribute to proposals, and assist in presales activities.

• Work in tandem with design, engineering, and QA teams to ensure that features align with expectations and user requirements.

• Track project health through KPIs and proactively identify risks.

• Validate completed features against agreed-upon requirements prior to delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, or a related discipline.

• Minimum of 4 years of project management experience within a digital agency setting.

• Practical experience with the presales process, including proposal writing, project scoping, and conducting discovery workshops.

• Strong comprehension of digital product development and a product management perspective.

• Experience in managing backlogs, drafting user stories, and operating within an Agile delivery framework.

• Capability to challenge client requirements and advocate for solutions that effectively address the underlying business challenges.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and clients concurrently.

• Familiarity with project and product management tools such as Jira, Notion, Linear, or comparable platforms.

• Willingness to work across US and European time zones.

• Proficient in English at a C1 level or higher, with strong written and verbal communication skills for client interactions.

• Experience collaborating with distributed international teams across various countries and time zones.
