Freelance Online Japanese Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Design, prepare, and deliver 45-minute online lessons for corporate clients.

• Provide personalized 1:1 lessons that integrate language instruction with tailored coaching.

• Conduct needs assessments and evaluate student proficiency levels.

• Develop customized learning paths tailored to individual student needs.

• Monitor student progress throughout the lesson.

• Establish clear learning objectives.

• Complete a three-step hiring process, which includes reviewing CV applications, interviewing with the teacher operations manager, and undergoing a brief onboarding course.

⛳️ Requirements

• C2 Level proficiency in Japanese.

• A valid teaching certification such as TEFL/CELTA or relevant university degrees.

• Experience in online teaching and delivering 1:1 coaching or personalized educational support.

• At least B2 proficiency in English.

• Ability to teach skills such as presentation techniques, negotiation strategies, business email etiquette, meeting management, and multicultural communication.

• Exceptional communication skills to effectively engage and instruct students.

• Reliable high-speed internet connection.

• A modern laptop or PC equipped with a microphone and camera.

• Must adhere to local freelance or contractor regulations.
