Freelance Mechanical CFD Engineer – AI Trainer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Train and assess AI agents on advanced fluid simulation tasks.

• Process CAD geometry to set up and execute simulations.

• Develop verified reference solutions.

• Create Python checks to evaluate AI agent outputs.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline such as energy or oil & gas.

• Several years of practical industry or research experience in CFD using OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent/CFX, or STAR-CCM+, including expertise in meshing.

• Strong practices in verification and validation, including conducting mesh independence studies and validation against experimental data or benchmarks.

• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with GitHub.

• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

• Preferred: background in aerospace, automotive, offshore, or turbomachinery.

• Preferred: experience with multiphase or particle-laden flow.

• Reliable internet connection.
