Freelance Linguists, English to Latvian – Financial/Banking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Translate text from English into Latvian.

• Develop and uphold TransPerfect’s freelance linguist database.

• Manage translation projects related to finance and banking.

• Finish a tailored e-learning module specific to the client.

• Submit to a background check mandated by the bank if chosen for onboarding.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native proficiency in Latvian.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities in English.

• Expertise in Financial/Banking topics.

• Strong attention to detail, including spelling and grammar.

• Capability to uphold professionalism under pressure and tight deadlines.

• One of the following: a degree in translation, linguistics, or language studies (or an equivalent degree with substantial translation training); 2 years of translation experience paired with a college degree; 5 years of translation experience without a degree; or a translation competence certificate issued by a relevant governmental authority.

• Demonstrable experience in finance and banking content.

• Completion of a brief client-specific e-learning module.

• Background check required by the bank if onboarding continues.

• Must reside in the United States.
