Freelance Legal Interpreter – Immigration Proceedings

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Deliver remote interpretation services for immigration court hearings in the U.S.

• Interpret proceedings related to asylum, removal, credible fear, bond, and similar cases.

• Provide simultaneous interpretation, consecutive interpretation, and sight translation services.

• Facilitate hearings across various U.S. time zones from a selected location.

• Accept assignments based on your availability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident.

• Minimum of one year of experience in interpreting within a judicial setting.

• Capable of interpreting for immigration courts.

• Proficient in simultaneous interpretation, consecutive interpretation, and sight translation.

• Required to submit a resume along with a brief overview of judicial/legal interpreting experience.

• Must include language pair(s), certification(s), and availability in the application.
