Freelance DFT Engineer – Project-Based

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.

📋 Description

• Assume responsibility for the DFT strategy, architecture, and the creation of test patterns.

• Offer essential feedback regarding digital design and its testability.

• Develop and manage the DFT flow, which includes selecting tools, configuring settings, and establishing the flow.

• Lead the integration of DFT, architecture, and strategy across digital components to maximize test coverage using ATPG and JTAG/Boundary Scan.

• Deliver actionable insights to design and physical design teams to enhance synthesis processes, design constraints, and implementation pipelines.

• Create and validate test pattern sets.

• Conduct fault grading.

• Formulate test strategies for silicon bring-up and overall testability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of practical experience in DFT architecture, scan insertion, and ATPG for cutting-edge semiconductor designs.

• Proficiency with industry-standard DFT EDA tools (e.g., Cadence Modus, Tessent).

• Strong foundation in digital design workflows (RTL-to-GDSII).

• Knowledge of how physical design affects testability.

• Demonstrated capability to work autonomously in high-paced deep-tech or startup settings with quick delivery timelines.

• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
