Freelance Associate Director – Creative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Establish the aesthetic vision for key accounts.

• Supervise the art direction for pitches and flagship initiatives.

• Mentor junior to mid-level Art Directors and Designers through craft-based feedback.

• Manage the visual storytelling across multi-channel campaigns, including film, digital, social, and physical experiences.

• Direct the visual aspects of production, which includes choosing photographers and directors, as well as overseeing color grading, retouching, and motion design.

• Present design systems and art direction during client meetings.

• Collaborate with Creative leadership to enhance design workflows and set quality benchmarks.

• Discover new tools and AI-driven technologies.

• Promote an inclusive, design-centric culture that emphasizes experimentation, shared learning, and visual excellence.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in art direction or design within a creative agency, high-growth brand setting, or a related field.

• Proficient in art direction, layout, typography, and integrated visual storytelling across multiple platforms.

• Experience in leading small teams or managing freelancers and junior creatives.

• Advanced knowledge of Figma.

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

• Familiarity with motion design or AI image generation.

• Capability to align visual decisions, such as color palettes and casting, with client business objectives and brand identity.

• Skill in explaining complex visual concepts to non-visual stakeholders and clients.

• Authorization to work in the United States, verified via E-Verify.
