Freelance Assessor – Digital Support Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Evaluate submitted evidence utilizing a specified assessment plan and grading criteria.

• Assign marks in accordance with the established assessment plan and marking criteria.

• Exercise sound judgement regarding the apprentice’s knowledge and competencies.

• Deliver comprehensive feedback to apprentices and determine an overall grade.

• Participate in standardisation meetings twice a year.

• Collaborate as a member of the 1st for Awarding assessment team.

• Pursue ongoing professional development.

• Assess the Level 3 Digital Support Technician Apprenticeship Standard through project evaluations, questioning, and professional discussions based on portfolios of evidence.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the sector at occupational level 3 or higher within the past three years, or significant proven expertise in the sector.

• Highly organized.

• Dependable and trustworthy.

• Capable of planning personal schedules and adhering to agreed times/bookings.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Must be able to attend two standardisation activities each year.

• Experience as an End Point Assessor, Independent Assessor, coach, or tutor (desirable).

• Grading experience (desirable).

• Strong understanding of apprenticeship standards and EPA (desirable).

• Prevent and safeguarding training (desirable).

• Assessor qualifications such as CAVA, TAQA, Award in Undertaking EPA, or A1 (desirable).

• Access to a computer, webcam, and a reliable internet connection.
