Fraud Investigator II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Perform investigations related to account takeovers, payment fraud, phishing activities, and organized fraud rings.

• Examine patterns of fraudulent transactions and abusive behavior.

• Contest chargebacks by collecting evidence to reduce financial losses and enhance recovery efforts.

• Evaluate identity verification processes and conduct background checks.

• Prioritize and address account safety incidents, which include flagged content, harassment issues, and violations of Terms of Service.

• Oversee and manage appeal requests for accounts that have been deactivated.

• Act as a subject matter expert in fraud detection and identity verification procedures.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations partners on initiatives that span the entire enterprise.

• Investigate potential fraud cases within high-volume queues.

• Recognize fraud trends and assist in developing scalable proactive detection strategies.

• Summarize and relay investigation results, findings, and insights to leadership and stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Fraud Operations, Cybercrime, or Identity Services.

• Must be willing to work a regular schedule that includes some holidays and at least one weekend day per week.

• High school diploma or its equivalent is required.

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field is preferred.

• Experience using Rover as either an owner or a sitter is necessary.

• At least 2 years in a customer-facing support role is required.

• Proficient in writing SQL queries.

• Certification as a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) is preferred.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in Content Moderation is required.

• Experience in a two-sided marketplace is preferred.

• Strong understanding of payment processes, cybercrime, and fraud techniques is essential.
