Fraud Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee transactions and customer accounts to detect and investigate any suspicious or fraudulent activities.

• Utilize fraud detection tools, systems, and methodologies to pinpoint emerging fraud trends and patterns.

• Perform thorough investigations into suspected fraudulent actions, collect evidence, and document findings appropriately.

• Analyze extensive datasets using SQL to uncover anomalies, patterns, and insights related to fraudulent conduct.

• Design and implement fraud prevention rules, strategies, and controls to mitigate risks.

• Keep abreast of industry best practices, new fraud threats, and advancements in fraud detection and prevention technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Economics, Computer Science, Analytics, or a related area).

• At least two (2) years of experience in a role focused on fraud detection, prevention, or investigation.

• A minimum of two (2) years of experience with SQL and Python programming.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.

• Familiarity with common fraud typologies, such as account takeover, identity theft, and payment fraud.

• Previous experience with fraud detection tools and platforms is advantageous.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex issues clearly.

• Ability to function independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.

• A high level of integrity and dedication to ethical practices.

• Proven experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools is necessary.

• Must be proficient in leveraging AI to boost productivity, research, and communication.
