Fraud Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Chile.

📋 Description

• Oversee transactions and customer accounts to detect and investigate any suspicious or fraudulent activities.

• Employ fraud detection tools, systems, and methodologies to recognize emerging trends and patterns in fraud.

• Perform comprehensive investigations into suspected fraudulent actions, collecting evidence and documenting findings.

• Analyze extensive datasets using SQL to pinpoint anomalies, patterns, and insights associated with fraudulent behavior.

• Create and apply fraud prevention rules, strategies, and controls.

• Keep informed about industry best practices, new fraud threats, and advancements in fraud detection and prevention technologies.

• Safeguard the company and its customers from financial loss and damage to reputation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Economics, Computer Science, Analytics, or a related field).

• At least two (2) years of experience in a fraud detection, prevention, or investigation capacity.

• A minimum of two (2) years of experience with SQL and Python.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a sharp attention to detail.

• Familiarity with common fraud types, such as account takeover, identity theft, and payment fraud.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, capable of clearly explaining complex issues.

• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong organizational skills and an aptitude for managing multiple priorities efficiently.

• High integrity and a commitment to ethical practices.

• Proven experience with Claude or similar large language model tools is essential.

• Comfortable using AI to boost productivity, research, and communication.
