Fraud Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee transactions and customer accounts to detect and investigate any suspicious or fraudulent activities.

• Employ a variety of fraud detection tools, systems, and methodologies to recognize emerging trends and patterns in fraud.

• Carry out thorough investigations into suspected fraudulent actions, collecting evidence and documenting the findings.

• Analyze extensive datasets utilizing SQL to uncover anomalies, patterns, and insights associated with fraudulent behavior.

• Create and implement fraud prevention rules, strategies, and controls.

• Remain informed about industry best practices, emerging fraud threats, and advancements in fraud detection and prevention technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Economics, Computer Science, Analytics, or a related field).

• At least two (2) years of experience in a fraud detection, prevention, or investigative role.

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience with SQL and Python.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.

• Familiarity with common fraud typologies (e.g., account takeover, identity theft, payment fraud, etc.).

• Experience with fraud detection tools and platforms is advantageous.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of clearly conveying complex issues.

• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team in a dynamic environment.

• Strong organizational capabilities and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

• High integrity and a commitment to ethical practices.

• Proven experience working with Claude or similar large language model tools is essential; candidates should be comfortable utilizing AI to enhance productivity, research, and communication.
