Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Act as the technical authority for the Data Science team, steering technical decisions, analytical architecture, industry best practices, and deliverables.

• Oversee the creation of Data Science solutions to process, analyze, and derive value from substantial amounts of data produced by distributed sensing systems and other high-frequency sources.

• Design and execute Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and advanced techniques for anomaly detection, event classification, pattern recognition, and decision support.

• Create and implement data pipelines for data ingestion, processing, transformation, and delivery in distributed, large-scale environments.

• Establish and enforce data handling, cleansing, curation, and enrichment strategies to ensure data quality, reliability, and traceability.

• Develop algorithms for dimensionality reduction, data compression, distributed processing, and optimization of computational performance.

• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Architecture, Research and Development teams, and subject-matter experts to convert business challenges into scalable analytical solutions.

• Conduct studies, proofs of concept, experiments, and assessments of new Data Science and Artificial Intelligence technologies, methods, and algorithms.

• Ensure adherence to best practices in the development, documentation, governance, and monitoring of models and analytical products.

• Enhance the team’s technical growth through mentoring, code reviews, knowledge sharing, and building internal capabilities.

• Engage in defining the project’s data and artificial intelligence strategy, contributing to scalable, robust, and results-driven solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related discipline.

• Extensive experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence applied to large-scale datasets.

• Proven track record in providing technical leadership to teams, supporting architectural decisions, technical guidance, solution evaluations, and professional mentoring.

• Expertise in time series analysis, anomaly detection, classification, clustering, dimensionality reduction, and feature engineering.

• Knowledge of signal processing techniques, including filtering, FFT, wavelets, and feature extraction.

• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and leading frameworks and libraries for data analysis and Machine Learning.

• Familiarity with Big Data architectures, distributed processing, Data Lakes, NoSQL databases, and streaming data processing.

• Experience in data modeling, data quality management, data governance, and data architecture.

• Understanding of Data-Centric AI, data compression, and distributed processing methodologies.

• Experience with APIs, microservices, containers, and cloud computing environments.

• Ability to translate business issues into scalable, data-driven analytical solutions.

• Advanced proficiency in English.
