This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.
• Oversee distinct workstreams and provide advanced AI and data solutions.
• Create and implement scalable AI and data solutions from the initial requirements to deployment.
• Develop, test, and refine fraud prevention and detection rules using various programming languages.
• Build and enhance machine learning models and analytics workflows.
• Spearhead data analytics initiatives to identify fraud, waste, abuse, and improper payments.
• Determine critical areas for improvements in program/payment integrity.
• Collaborate with clients to pinpoint AI use cases and convert business needs into actionable solutions.
• Manage client deliverables and assist in preparing executive-level presentations.
• Mentor both junior and senior consultants and evaluate their technical contributions.
• Ensure that solutions comply with governance, security, and responsible AI standards.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DHS Public Trust; approval required prior to onboarding.
• Bachelor's degree.
• A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in AI, data science, analytics, or engineering.
• At least four (4) years of experience in a fraud/payment integrity-related position.
• Proficiency in Python/R, SQL, and data modeling.
• Familiarity with statistical and data analytics.
• Experience with CSV/TXT, JSON, XML, Parquet, and various other data structure formats.
• Expertise in developing, testing, and validating machine learning and other AI models at scale.
• Competence in using PowerBI, Tableau, Looker, or similar data visualization tools.
• Experience in applying data analytics and artificial intelligence in financial crime compliance and/or fraud, waste, and abuse prevention.
• Travel requirements will be 25–50% for candidates outside the DMV or NYC area.
• Proven experience leading small teams of junior resources.
• Ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Experience in owning deliverable workstreams.
• Familiarity with creating fraud and/or financial crime monitoring rules in programming languages.
• Background in supporting healthcare technology, healthcare business, or healthcare process initiatives.
• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including data and ML services.
• Experience in deploying models into production (MLOps).
• Knowledge of Databricks, Palantir, Vertex AI, or SageMaker.
• Previous consulting or client-facing delivery experience.
• Experience with Federal or State Medicaid, particularly in fraud prevention/detection or program integrity roles.
