Fractional Game Producer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee the execution of assigned internal and external projects throughout the stages of development, release, and live operations.

• Rapidly familiarize yourself with ongoing projects and processes within a designated time frame.

• Collaborate with teams to develop realistic and attainable project plans.

• Proactively identify and address risks, obstacles, and dependencies.

• Maintain transparent and accurate project reporting for leadership and stakeholders.

• Ensure that deliverables align with established quality standards and meet client expectations.

• Foster and maintain relationships across the organization and with external partners.

• Positively represent the Production team within the studio and to clients.

• Clearly document processes and decisions to ensure continuity during non-working days.

• Adapt focus as priorities shift within the agreed-upon scope.

• Utilize and investigate AI-assisted workflows, pipelines, toolchains, and agentic AI to enhance development and production processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in game development production or project management within an agile environment.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and produce results on a part-time or contract basis.

• Practical experience with resource planning, sprint organization, JIRA, and risk management.

• Scrum Master certification is advantageous.

• Previous experience in freelance, fractional, or consulting roles is a plus.

• Understanding of the game development pipeline from conception to live operation.

• Capability to communicate effectively across all game-related disciplines.

• Proficient in using JIRA and Confluence.

• Familiarity with Apple App Store and Google Play Store release processes.

• Ability to operate within an iterative and agile production framework.

• A passion for video games and the game development process.

• Experience in introducing or managing AI-assisted development workflows and agentic toolchains is a plus.

• Fluent in English.

• Self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to provide clear written updates and handovers.

• Comfortable with remote work and collaborating with a distributed team across different time zones.

• Remains calm under pressure, with a solution-focused mindset.

• Ability to navigate conflicts constructively and maintain team morale in challenging situations.

• Strong leadership skills, with an understanding of how to motivate teams, acknowledge individual contributions, and ensure individuals feel valued and supported.
