Fractional Defense-Tech PR & Growth Communications Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Puerto Rico.

📋 Description

• Transform technical milestones and financial evidence into persuasive narratives for defense leadership.

• Obtain placements, profiles, and opinion pieces in top defense trade and AI business outlets.

• Create, oversee, and publish website content using WordPress.

• Collaborate with the government affairs team to develop collateral, white papers, and digital messaging that supports a specific Line Item or Program of Record.

• Write and distribute case studies and thought-leadership articles focused on AI-driven predictive logistics.

• Enhance executive visibility and media interaction surrounding significant defense milestones and conferences.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated success in advancing a technology firm from pilot/SBIR phase to a funded multi-year DoD program.

• Extensive experience overseeing PR, product marketing, or corporate communications for an enterprise software company collaborating with the DoD.

• Profound knowledge of the Adaptive Acquisition Framework, SBIR Phase III scaling, the POM cycle, Working Capital Funds, and the integration of language into the NDAA.

• Established and cordial relationships with prominent defense tech journalists, defense acquisition analysts, and key contributors from major think tanks.

• Capability to write insightfully about secure software architecture, including cATO and Impact Level 4/5.

• US citizenship is mandatory.

• Secret clearance is advantageous.
