This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the accounting operations for one or more clients utilizing Sage 100.

• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, encompassing reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.

• Generate precise and timely financial statements and management reports.

• Evaluate and enhance accounting workflows, internal controls, and the setup of Sage 100 across general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and job costing modules.

• Supervise and guide client bookkeeping and AP/AR personnel.

• Assist with budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and variance analysis in collaboration with Fractional CFOs.

• Liaise with external CPAs for audits, reviews, and tax preparation processes.

• Clearly convey financial results to owners and non-financial stakeholders.

• Manage an independent portfolio of clients while collaborating with client leadership and Fractional CFOs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Controller experience (mandatory): previous experience functioning as a controller, with complete responsibility for the close and financial reporting.

• Sage 100 proficiency (mandatory): practical, recent experience operating within Sage 100 (previously MAS 90/200), including the general ledger and essential financial modules.

• Strong understanding of US GAAP, accrual accounting, and account reconciliation.

• Advanced skills in Excel; familiarity with Sage 100 reporting tools is an advantage.

• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.

• Clear and professional communication skills with business owners and executives.

• Must be based in the United States.

• A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred; CPA designation is a plus.
