This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Support the annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasts, and long-term planning initiatives.
• Create and sustain comprehensive financial models for strategic planning and scenario evaluations.
• Track company performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
• Compile monthly and quarterly financial reports for executive leadership review.
• Collaborate with teams from Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Product Development, Sales, and Human Resources.
• Assess revenue, gross margin, customer acquisition costs, inventory levels, and operational expenditures.
• Analyze growth strategies, product launches, retail collaborations, and pricing tactics through financial modeling and ROI assessments.
• Perform ad hoc analyses and deliver actionable recommendations to inform business decisions.
• Work together on inventory management, demand forecasting, purchasing, and margin analysis.
• Assist in forecasting and reporting on inventory, freight, manufacturing, and fulfillment expenses.
• Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to enhance business performance visibility.
• Establish scalable financial planning and analysis processes, reporting structures, and financial systems.
• Automate reporting processes to enhance data accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Set best practices for financial planning and business performance management.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Over 5 years of progressive experience in FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, consulting, or similar analytical roles.
• Background in a startup, emerging growth company, or high-growth organization is preferred.
• Proficient in advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical techniques.
• Strong grasp of financial statements and the factors driving business performance.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Expertise in advanced Excel/Google Sheets and financial software.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing decision-making at all organizational levels.
• Experience in the beauty industry, consumer packaged goods (CPG), consumer retail, or direct-to-consumer brands is a plus.
• Familiarity with inventory-intensive business models is preferred.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and planning tools is advantageous.
• Experience in supporting fundraising efforts, board reporting, or strategic growth initiatives is a plus.
• Highly analytical and detail-oriented with sound business judgment.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous situations and adjusting to shifting priorities.
• Naturally inquisitive and proactive in uncovering insights and opportunities.
• Strong collaborative skills and effectiveness in cross-team partnerships.
