Founding Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Establish the principles, processes, and standards that inform product design throughout the organization

• Integrate design into product discovery and contribute to shaping product direction from the initial phases

• Develop a profound understanding of users through research, usability testing, product usage, and direct interactions

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to pinpoint user needs and translate them into clear product experiences

• Create and sustain an AI-native design system, which includes UI kits, interaction patterns, prompt and response patterns, agent behaviors, and style guides

• Establish reusable components, standards, and workflows to ensure consistent experiences across product surfaces and AI-driven interactions

• Adapt brand guidelines across interfaces, intelligent behaviors, and emerging AI-native experiences

• Collaborate with engineers and AI teams during implementation to maintain design intent, usability, accessibility, and quality

• Advance the design system as products, technical capabilities, AI workflows, and user needs evolve

• Oversee design throughout the entire product lifecycle for predictive AI/ML and generative AI workflows

• Craft end-to-end experiences across the platform and agentic products

• Define how users interact with agents, track progress, review work, provide feedback, and maintain control

• Simplify complex AI and data-science workflows into clear, intuitive experiences

• Explore concepts, develop prototypes, test them with users, and convert validated ideas into detailed designs

• Balance user needs with technical feasibility, product performance, and business objectives

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in designing technical products, including intricate enterprise B2B software, with a strong foundation in technical web applications, enterprise platforms, or developer tools

• A minimum of 1–2 years of experience in designing human-in-the-loop agentic experiences, covering products and workflows that span CLI, API, and graphical interfaces

• Solid practical knowledge of AI and ML workflows, their users, and the challenges involved in making these systems comprehensible and manageable

• Proven history of tackling complex design challenges while balancing usability, technical feasibility, and performance

• Experience in conducting user interviews, usability testing, and product discovery with technical users

• Capacity to shape design strategy, influence product decisions, and collaborate effectively with Product and Engineering teams

• Judgment and autonomy to recognize user needs, frame ambiguous problems, and transition from initial exploration to delivered experiences

• A portfolio showcasing strong interaction design, systems thinking, visual execution, and measurable product impact
