Founding Field and Events Marketer

📋 Description

• Conduct research, assess, and suggest tradeshows, conferences, and industry events that align with the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and revenue objectives.

• Maintain a dynamic 12-month event calendar.

• Cultivate and manage relationships with event organizers, vendors, and venue representatives.

• Negotiate sponsorship agreements, booth space, speaking opportunities, and additional services.

• Plan and oversee events from start to finish, including booth design and logistics, promotional items, marketing materials, lead capture, audio-visual needs, catering, hotel arrangements, and team travel coordination.

• Attend all events in person and act as the primary point of contact on-site.

• Set up and dismantle booths while addressing issues as they arise.

• Prepare attending team members by outlining objectives, key talking points, target accounts, and logistical details.

• Collaborate with the sales team to schedule pre-show meetings, organize dinners and customer events, and ensure leads are effectively captured, qualified, and followed up on promptly.

• Manage pre- and post-event email campaigns, landing pages, paid promotions, and social media initiatives.

• Oversee event expenditures, monitor costs, project forecasts, identify risks, and make informed trade-off decisions.

• Establish event KPIs and create post-event reports detailing leads, meetings, pipeline, ROI, and opportunities for improvement.


⛳️ Requirements

• 1 to 4 years of experience in event marketing, field marketing, or event coordination, preferably in B2B or technology sectors.

• Proven history of managing events from conception to execution.

• Experience in budgeting for events.

• Capability to define KPIs and generate reports linking event activities to pipeline and revenue outcomes.

• Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing AI to automate or enhance processes as an events marketer; this is essential.

• Familiarity with HubSpot is preferred.

• Strong skills in project management.

• Experience in negotiating with vendors and event organizers.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to maintain composure under pressure and resolve issues during events.

• Willingness and ability to travel 30 to 50% during peak event seasons across North America, with possible travel to Europe.

• Legal authorization to work in the country of residence; visa sponsorship is not available.
