Associate, Event Safety

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assist in the enhancement and advancement of event security protocols and procedures.

• Carry out systematic risk evaluations for corporate gatherings and high-profile functions.

• Create customized, event-specific security strategies that adhere to organizational standards.

• Collaborate with event leaders and cross-departmental stakeholders on protective strategies.

• Conduct preliminary site evaluations and walkthroughs.

• Manage the complete event security process, encompassing planning, vendor coordination, post-event documentation, and after-action reports.

• Identify, acquire, and supervise contracted security personnel.

• Lead on-site briefings for contracted staff.

• Oversee contract security teams during events.

• Act as the incident manager on-site, responding to or escalating security incidents and emergencies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Willingness to travel and support events beyond standard business hours, as necessary.

• Relevant expertise or skills in law enforcement or security-related fields.

• Valid first-aid certification, including CPR/AED.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with the capacity to brief stakeholders and clearly articulate risks.

• Preferred: Experience in conducting formal or structured risk assessments within law enforcement, corporate security, protective services, or operational risk settings.

• Preferred: Capability to convert threat and vulnerability analyses into actionable, defensible security operations.

• Preferred: Background in supporting security operations for live events, executive functions, or other dynamic environments.
