πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Oversee the planning and execution of events within The Atlantic's events portfolio, ranging from small roundtables to large flagship programs.

β€’ Manage the entire project lifecycle, including timelines, logistics, and coordination across various teams.

β€’ Collaborate with editorial, design, marketing, audience, and sales teams to transform event concepts into reality.

β€’ Handle relationships with vendors and production partners for venues, audiovisual needs, catering, and technical production.

β€’ Provide support for major, multi-day, multi-sponsor events, including on-site management and client relations.

β€’ Convert sponsor objectives into cohesive event experiences while upholding The Atlantic's editorial values.

β€’ Lead client communications, including planning timelines, program updates, and the delivery of agreed-upon elements.

β€’ Supervise virtual and hybrid event production in collaboration with production partners.

β€’ Create run-of-show documents, staffing plans, and strategies for on-site execution.

β€’ Collaborate with audience teams to achieve and surpass attendance targets.

β€’ Assist in budget tracking and forecasting, while identifying potential risks and opportunities.

β€’ Produce post-event analyses that highlight impact and value.

β€’ Work closely with editorial leadership and senior stakeholders.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ A minimum of 5 years of experience in event production or related live experiences.

β€’ Strong project management capabilities with the ability to juggle multiple complex workstreams at once.

β€’ Experience working collaboratively in a dynamic, high-performance setting.

β€’ Exceptional communication skills with confidence in engaging with senior stakeholders.

β€’ Keen attention to detail, sound judgment, and effective problem-solving skills.

β€’ Experience in both in-person and virtual event production.

β€’ A proactive, solution-focused mentality and a strong sense of responsibility.

β€’ Interest in journalism, media, or mission-driven initiatives.

β€’ Willingness to work occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

β€’ Successful completion of reference checks is required.
