Founding Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Take charge of product-critical features from inception to completion, including database schema, backend APIs, and frontend/mobile integration.

• Enhance the React Native application, backend systems, and overall technical infrastructure.

• Incorporate logistics, geographic data, routing, and real-time information into a product utilized daily by truck drivers.

• Work collaboratively with founders, engineering teams, customers, and drivers to transform real-world challenges into dependable product solutions.

• Operate efficiently, assume ownership, and make swift decisions within a dynamic startup atmosphere.

• Assist in expanding the existing product, growing the customer base, and reinforcing the technology.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience with TypeScript / Node and a relevant testing framework (e.g., Jest).

• Strong background in React / React Native, preferably with Expo.

• Comprehensive understanding of backend systems, API integrations, and data models.

• Prior experience in fast-paced software teams; experience in startups, scale-ups, or product-focused engineering is advantageous.

• Practical experience utilizing AI tools as part of everyday workflow.

• Interest in mobile development, logistics, geographic data, or automation.

• Independent working approach with a commitment to delivering reliable software.

• Nice to have: experience with mobile applications, routing/maps, real-time data, cloud infrastructure, or LLM/voice features.

• Ability to work remotely from Germany.
