Founding Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of product-critical features, overseeing everything from database schema and backend APIs to frontend and mobile integrations.

• Continue enhancing the React Native application, backend systems, and technical infrastructure.

• Incorporate logistics, geolocation, routing, and real-time data into a product that truck drivers rely on daily.

• Collaborate closely with founders, engineering teams, customers, and drivers to transform real-world challenges into dependable product solutions.

• Act swiftly, assume responsibility, and make decisions within a dynamic startup setting.

• Work alongside the tech team while maintaining close relationships with founders, engineering leads, customers, and drivers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Professional experience with TypeScript / Node and a relevant testing framework (e.g., Jest).

• Strong experience with React / React Native, preferably using Expo.

• Solid understanding of backend systems, API integrations, and data models.

• Prior experience in fast-paced software teams, ideally within a startup, scale-up, or product-focused engineering environment, is advantageous.

• Practical experience utilizing AI tools as a natural aspect of daily work.

• A keen interest in mobile development, logistics, geospatial data, or automation.

• Ability to work independently with a high standard for reliable software.

• Nice to have: experience with mobile applications, routing/maps, real-time data, cloud infrastructure, or LLM/voice features.
