Founding AI Lead Engineer, YC Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Spearhead product initiatives from inception to scaling.

• Collaborate directly with customers and Product leadership.

• Design and develop comprehensive product architectures.

• Set up the technical groundwork for new products.

• Convert unclear product challenges into scalable solutions.

• Maintain a balance between speed, product excellence, and technical sustainability.

• Guide engineers engaged in product initiatives.

• Shape the product roadmap and engineering priorities.

• Oversee the company’s AI engineering division and define the technical strategy for production AI systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in software engineering.

• Background with YC-backed startups.

• Strong experience in full-stack and product engineering.

• Demonstrated success in 0→1 product development.

• Exceptional product judgment and technical expertise.

• Proficient in architecture and system design.

• Capability to work autonomously in highly ambiguous settings.

• Experience in AI product development (preferred).

• Familiarity with startup or scale-up environments (preferred).

• Experience collaborating closely with founders or product leadership (preferred).

• Proven track record of taking products from prototype to significant scale (preferred).

• Fluent in English is mandatory.

• Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain employer sponsorship, as mentioned in the application.
