Forward Deployment Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +16 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee customer implementations from start to finish, covering technical discovery, integration design, construction, and go-live phases for Transaction Monitoring, Case Management, and AI agents.

• Create and implement customer data integrations using real-time APIs and batch ingestion techniques, including data mapping and ETL workflows.

• Develop and refine fraud and AML detection systems by converting customer needs into actionable rules and typologies.

• Set up Case Management and investigation workflows, which include SAR/CTR filings and watchlist/sanctions screening.

• Gradually deploy AI agents while incorporating a human-in-the-loop methodology.

• Ensure post-implementation success through continual tuning, problem-solving, metrics analysis, and customer training.

• Create scripts, automations, reusable tools, and templates to enhance customer implementations.

• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams by providing field insights to drive product enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in Implementation, Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or Solutions Architecture, preferably within a technical SaaS or data platform environment.

• In-depth knowledge of REST APIs, ETL/data pipelines, SQL, and relational databases, including PostgreSQL and MySQL.

• Proficient in mapping, transforming, and reconciling imperfect customer data.

• Capability to code in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript for scripting, integrations, and automation tasks.

• Experience converting vague business and compliance requirements into actionable technical solutions.

• Ability to manage complex technical challenges from inception to completion while adapting to shifting priorities.

• Strong customer-facing skills with effective communication abilities for engaging both engineers and executive stakeholders.

• Bonus: familiarity with financial institutions, fintechs, or cryptocurrency platforms.

• Bonus: knowledge of financial crime, AML, fraud, BSA/KYC, SAR/CTR, sanctions, or fraud typologies.

• Bonus: prior experience leading implementations for complex, data-centric products.
