Forward Deployed Engineer, YC Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate directly with customers to comprehend their technical requirements and operational hurdles.

• Design, implement, and tailor production solutions within customer environments.

• Create integrations, automation tools, APIs, and internal utilities.

• Convert customer feedback into actionable product and engineering specifications.

• Diagnose intricate technical issues spanning application and infrastructure layers.

• Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to enhance platform capabilities.

• Manage projects from the initial technical discovery to deployment and subsequent iterations.

• Develop scalable reusable solutions that can benefit multiple customers.

• Enhance deployment processes, documentation, observability, and system reliability.

• Serve as a technical advisor and a trusted engineering partner for customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience.

• Proficient programming skills in Python, TypeScript, Go, or related languages.

• Experience in developing and deploying production-grade software.

• Strong skills in systems, APIs, integration, and debugging.

• Experience collaborating directly with customers or cross-functional teams.

• Capability to function effectively in fast-paced and ambiguous settings.

• Excellent communication and technical problem-solving abilities.

• High sense of ownership and the ability to independently drive projects forward.

• Proficiency in English is required.

• Must disclose U.S. work authorization status.

• Experience with YC startups is preferable for this position.
