Forward Deployed Engineer – Technical Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engage actively in the capture of requirements and translate customer needs into effective solutions.

• Establish technical boundaries and scope for fixed-price projects.

• Transform customer requirements into organized specifications, acceptance criteria, and architectural decisions for AI-driven software development.

• Validate solutions generated prior to their release.

• Oversee production integration and provide guidance for deployments.

• Maintain accountability during deployment, stabilization, customer acceptance, and knowledge transfer phases.

• Ensure that solutions are extensible, maintainable, and can be transferred for support and enhancement by qualified team members.

• Assist with cloud deployments, CI/CD processes, legacy system integration, and adherence to ATO/RMF, Section 508, and NIST standards.

• Develop reusable assets and communicate lessons learned throughout the organization.

• Identify opportunities for follow-on projects while transitioning commercial activities to the appropriate stakeholders.

• Research, design, architect, code with AI, and validate solutions comprehensively.

• Collaborate directly with customers to maintain strong client relationships.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid understanding of software engineering principles and manual coding.

• Capability to architect and deliver solutions utilizing modern programming languages, frameworks, cloud platforms, AI-assisted development tools, and low-code platforms.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Over 6 years of professional experience in software delivery.

• Experience in deploying enterprise systems and providing post-go-live support.

• Completion of at least one end-to-end application primarily developed using agentic AI coding tools like Claude Code, Codex, Copilot agent mode, Cursor, or similar.

• Experience in enterprise-scale software delivery, including production integration, deployment, operational constraints, and post-launch stabilization.

• Architect-level judgment in systems design and proficient across analysis, product ownership, software development, project delivery, security, data, integrations, and operations.

• Ability to independently create complete working solutions mainly through AI-assisted generation.

• Skill in interpreting unfamiliar generated logic, identifying potential failure points, designing tests, and assessing the safety and correctness of systems for release.

• Proficiency in evaluating and selecting technologies based on contextual needs.

• Ability to uncover the underlying meaning of stated requirements and adapt to engagement constraints.

• Proven track record of progressing through ambiguity, challenges, incomplete information, and cross-organizational dependencies.

• Practical experience primarily in delivering software solutions, rather than solely in infrastructure or operations.

• Willingness and demonstrated capability to engage in greenfield projects, modernization efforts, integration-heavy environments, and inherited ongoing work.

• Full-stack proficiency with production experience in at least one .NET or Java enterprise ecosystem and at least one major cloud platform.

• Skill in defining acceptance criteria, designing test strategies, employing automated testing, and implementing systems for observability.

• Ability to facilitate discovery sessions, present to skeptical stakeholders, and clarify technical trade-offs to non-technical program owners.

• US citizenship and eligibility for a Secret clearance.
