Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Engage directly with Cognizant's end clients

• Design, create, and implement software solutions that are ready for production

• Conduct hands-on engineering and backend development tasks

• Utilize cloud technologies and establish system integrations

• Partner with clients to address intricate business problems

• Take full ownership of technical solutions, managing them from development to deployment

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of practical software engineering experience

• Proficient programming abilities in Python, Java, or equivalent languages

• Experience with SQL

• Familiarity with REST APIs, microservices, data pipelines, and distributed systems

• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Practical experience using Docker and Kubernetes

• Background in developing and deploying applications for production

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and client-facing abilities

• Capacity to independently oversee technical solutions from development through to deployment
