This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate closely with client engineering teams to create integrations within their codebases utilizing OpenLoop's Partner API.
• Take ownership of client integration results from the go-live phase and throughout the subsequent weeks.
• Identify gaps in the platform, document them along with alternative endpoints, and develop time-sensitive workarounds when necessary.
• Develop SDKs, reference implementations, command-line interfaces (CLIs), machine-readable documentation, and agentic API workflows.
• Utilize and enhance deployment agents for readiness assessments, conformance checks, documentation updates, gap identification, and drafting client communications.
• Review and validate agent outputs, recognizing instances when agents may produce incorrect results.
• Contribute reusable recipes and checks to the communal cookbook and manage client manifests.
• Transform recurring client workarounds into enhancements for the platform roadmap.
• Clarify ambiguous or conflicting client requests into structured, defensible scopes.
• Safeguard active clients by maintaining compatibility windows and avoiding disruptive changes.
• Offer reliable technical advice to clients as well as internal go-to-market teams.
• Share insights from deployments, assess integration designs, and assist in the creation of the team playbook.
• 5 to 15+ years of experience in software engineering, with substantial time spent delivering directly for external customers or partners.
• Comprehensive ownership of complex technical deliveries that are customer-facing.
• In-depth expertise in integration engineering: API design and usage, authentication, webhooks versus polling, idempotency, rate limits, pagination, schema drift, reconciliation, APIs, data, and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience in developing with AI agents, including verifying and assessing their outputs.
• Background in managing sensitive data with a strong emphasis on security.
• Exceptional communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to make sound judgments regarding scope, including descoping, prioritization, or declining work.
• Demonstrated leverage through the creation of SDKs, tools, checks, reference implementations, or best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience (preferred).
• Core collaboration hours are from 8 am to 5 pm CST, with flexibility for occasional client-facing work beyond those hours.
