Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with the Customer Experience team during both pre-sales and post-sales phases.

• Create solutions on DevRev's primary platform utilizing TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, and various other technologies.

• Construct the Knowledge Graph by integrating DevRev with both SaaS and non-SaaS platforms.

• Design and implement AI agents, integrations, and automations that connect customer technology stacks and workflows.

• Connect systems using APIs, webhooks, and real-time communication architectures.

• Employ prompt engineering, fine-tune semantic search engines, and leverage generative AI methodologies.

• Execute SQL queries, conduct data analysis, and create dashboards.

• Develop proofs-of-concept, deliver live technical demonstrations, and refine based on user feedback.

• Work in partnership with customers, engineering, product, customer success, support, and revenue teams.

• Assist customers with code repository integrations and advanced configurations.

• Allocate approximately 30% of time to direct customer interaction and 70–80% to hands-on technical implementation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software development, systems integration, or platform engineering.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• Strong expertise in TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, as well as data structures and algorithms.

• Familiarity with large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, RAG, function calling, and evaluation building.

• Extensive experience with large-scale data synchronization, REST, GraphQL, webhooks, and event-driven/pub/sub architectures.

• Practical experience deploying on serverless and edge platforms like AWS Lambda and Google Cloud Functions.

• Knowledge of modern DevOps methodologies including CI/CD, containers, and observability practices.

• Proficient in data mapping, schema alignment, heterogeneous systems, data modeling, and graph data structures.

• Experience in implementing logging, error detection, and telemetry.

• Understanding of Model Context Programming (MCP).

• Proven ability to triage and resolve both technical and non-technical obstacles.

• Experience in writing clear, well-structured documentation.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Willingness to travel up to 80% for on-site implementations, technical workshops, and customer interactions.
