Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Deploy, set up, and execute data pipelines directly within client environments.

• Conduct accurate field-level data mapping between customer schemas and internal data models.

• Lead the technical translation and migration of backend data pipelines, workloads, and cloud infrastructure from Microsoft Azure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Design, develop, and optimize Python-native data engineering pipelines utilizing BigQuery as the main datastore.

• Establish and oversee cloud infrastructure and orchestration workflows using Cloud Run, Apache Airflow, or similar GCP-native services.

• Configure Vertex AI for model registry and machine learning platforms.

• Utilize Spark/PySpark to enhance computationally intensive tasks such as network-graph calculations.

• Leverage AI-assisted developer tools like GitHub Copilot for code generation, review, and improving engineering productivity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of hands-on experience in Python programming.

• Significant experience with Google BigQuery as a primary input/output storage engine.

• Proficient in setting up cloud infrastructure and orchestrating data workflows using Airflow, Cloud Run, or equivalent platforms.

• Ability to adapt standard engineering solutions to various client-specific schemas and environmental constraints.

• Experience in migrating data pipelines and infrastructure from Microsoft Azure to GCP (preferred).

• Possession of an official Google Cloud certification, such as Associate Cloud Engineer, Professional Data Engineer, or Professional Cloud Architect (preferred).

• Experience with Apache Spark or PySpark for intricate data processing tasks (preferred).

• Practical experience with Vertex AI for AI platform configuration and model management (preferred).

• Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools like GitHub Copilot (preferred).
