Forward Deployed Engineer, AI/ML

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement production-quality data pipelines, analytics engines, and Generative AI/LLM applications utilizing Databricks, Spark, Python/PySpark, and contemporary cloud ecosystems.

• Act as the main technical authority on key enterprise client projects.

• Collaborate with C-level executives, VP/Directors of Data, and engineering teams to convert business challenges into technical resolutions.

• Oversee the complex migration of legacy platforms to the Databricks Lakehouse architecture.

• Assist enterprise clients in embracing GenAI solutions, RAG architectures, model fine-tuning, and MLflow/Databricks Mosaic AI integrations.

• Recognize high-value technical use cases across client business divisions, enhance Databricks platform utilization, and drive measurable ROI for clients.

• Mentor junior Solution Engineers, Architects, and Consultants.

• Contribute to internal RevStar code libraries, reusable accelerators, and best practices for technical delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of practical experience in Data Engineering, Machine Learning, or Solutions Architecture.

• More than 3 years of in-depth technical experience within the Databricks Ecosystem (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, MLflow, Spark/PySpark, Databricks Workflows/Jobs, Mosaic AI).

• Hands-on experience in designing and deploying RAG pipelines, fine-tuning LLMs, working with vector databases, and managing ML pipelines from start to finish.

• Strong proficiency in cloud-native architectures (AWS preferred—S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, etc.).

• Proven experience in migrating enterprise legacy data warehouses/lakes to Databricks.

• Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional and/or Machine Learning Professional certification is preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to lead technical delivery for Fortune 500 or large enterprise clients.

• Experience in Healthcare, Retail, or Consumer Goods is a significant advantage.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Comfortable presenting technical architectures, creating POCs/demos, and managing client stakeholders up to the C-suite level.

• Ability to identify technical expansion opportunities within existing client accounts and act as a technical advocate to enhance account presence.
