Forward Deployed AI Engineer, Python, LLMs, RAG

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Croatia, +6 more countries.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with business, product, and engineering stakeholders to comprehend intricate requirements and convert them into production-ready AI solutions.

• Create and develop applications utilizing LLMs, RAG, AI agents, tool/function calling, and structured outputs.

• Construct agentic workflows leveraging LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or similar technologies.

• Design retrieval architectures employing vector search, embeddings, document pipelines, and contextual retrieval techniques.

• Develop robust backend services and application logic using Python.

• Build user-facing AI applications with React, Next.js, or comparable frontend technologies.

• Integrate AI applications with enterprise APIs, internal platforms, data systems, and authentication/IAM environments.

• Deploy applications on cloud platforms, utilizing Docker and CI/CD pipelines.

• Monitor and enhance the quality, reliability, latency, security, and business performance of AI applications.

• Contribute reusable engineering patterns, components, and best practices for implementation across projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of professional software engineering experience, demonstrating strong production-level expertise in Python.

• Hands-on experience in developing LLM-powered applications in a production environment.

• Extensive knowledge of LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or similar AI orchestration frameworks.

• A solid understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector retrieval, embeddings, and integration patterns for LLMs.

• Experience in designing AI agents, agentic workflows, tool/function calling, structured outputs, and automation systems.

• Proficiency in React, Next.js, or similar modern web technologies.

• Experience with deploying production applications on cloud platforms, Docker, and CI/CD practices.

• A strong grasp of enterprise integrations, secure API design, IAM, and security considerations specific to AI and LLMs.

• Ability to effectively translate business needs into technical architecture and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Fluency in English.

• Excellent communication skills when dealing with stakeholders.
