Forward Deployed AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of projects from initial discovery and solution development through to system design, implementation, and production deployment.

• Create and establish data foundations, which include data models, schema design, dimensional modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and management of slowly changing dimensions.

• Develop full-stack applications utilizing Python/FastAPI for backend services and Next.js for frontend interfaces.

• Leverage AI coding tools like Claude Code to enhance the building process.

• Design and implement RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, and LLM-in-the-loop processing.

• Integrate AI functionalities through MCP servers, Skills, and Plugins.

• Manage and orchestrate pipelines and automation with tools such as Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, Celery, or Temporal.

• Oversee CI/CD processes and cloud deployments utilizing AWS and Azure.

• Convert unclear client requirements into precise designs while effectively communicating trade-offs to both technical and business stakeholders.

• Contribute reusable accelerators and technical resources to the Data Practice.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in both data engineering and full-stack development.

• Proficiency in data modeling and schema design, including dimensional modeling, normalization considerations, and EDW/warehouse schema design.

• Practical experience in production ETL/ELT pipelines for both batch and incremental data loads.

• Familiarity with Slowly Changing Dimensions and change-data management.

• Experience with dbt, focusing on modular SQL transformations, tests, documentation, and incremental strategies.

• Advanced proficiency in SQL.

• Solid experience with modern data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks, or similar cloud-based warehouse/lakehouse solutions.

• Skills in data quality testing, validation, and lineage tracking.

• Proficient in Python as the primary programming language.

• Experience with FastAPI, including async REST API design, dependency injection, and testing methodologies.

• Knowledge of modern frontend development, preferably with Next.js, covering component architecture, server-side rendering, state management, and user experience design.

• Expertise in PostgreSQL schema design, query optimization, and indexing.

• Strong understanding of system design and architecture.

• Regular use of an agentic coding tool like Claude Code or Cursor.

• Experience managing CI/CD and cloud deployments on AWS or Azure.

• Comfortable in client-facing roles, effectively bridging the gap between business needs and engineering solutions.

• A customer-centric approach to work.

• Ability to take end-to-end ownership from discovery through to production.
