This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Craft complex single-turn prompts within the fields of chemistry and chemical safety.
β’ Classify prompts as benign, dual-use, or adversarial.
β’ Assess model responses based on a specified policy standard.
β’ Evaluate whether responses accurately addressed technical inquiries.
β’ Develop reference answers that explain correct responses along with the technical rationale behind them.
β’ Generate prompts that differentiate legitimate professional inquiries from those seeking harmful information.
β’ Provide written justifications for decisions that are accessible to non-specialists.
β’ Engage in reading and writing about misuse scenarios for extended periods.
β’ Demonstrated experience in conducting casework to identify substances and precursors.
β’ Proven ability to defend conclusions in reports or during testimony.
β’ Background in controlled substance casework within a forensic laboratory, including identification and quantification.
β’ Experience in responding to clandestine laboratory incidents, precursor identification, and scene chemistry.
β’ Knowledge in forensic toxicology, encompassing postmortem or human performance casework.
β’ Familiarity with monitoring trends in seized drugs and precursors or intelligence analysis.
β’ Experience providing expert testimony and writing reports related to chemical casework.
β’ Strong capability to differentiate between routine professional inquiries and potentially harmful requests.
β’ Excellent technical writing skills; all judgments must include a rationale that is understandable to non-specialists.
β’ Previous technical writing, published research, or expert witness experience is highly valued.
β’ Must refrain from using classified or export-controlled information, information covered by NDAs, or information subject to prepublication review requirements.
β’ Required to disclose any relevant confidentiality obligations to ensure appropriate work scoping.
