Flutter, Node.js Fullstack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Enhance the current Flutter application for both iOS and Android, prioritizing user experience and usability for individuals aged 50 and above.

• Create and develop Node.js APIs and services to support new functionalities.

• Assist in the development of new and related products, including those featuring AI capabilities.

• Collaborate closely with medical and product teams to influence the development process and outcomes.

• Participate in code reviews, testing, and uphold engineering standards necessary for a regulated medical product.

• Optionally influence cloud infrastructure, CI/CD practices, and deployment processes.

• Enhance a live product that serves thousands of users.

• Manage technical solutions for internal tools, including integrations like HubSpot.

• Take ownership of features from inception to completion and assist in recruiting future specialists.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Proficiency in Flutter/Dart, or a demonstrated ability to quickly adapt from React Native or native mobile development.

• Familiarity with Node.js and API development; must have experience beyond mobile development.

• Capability to work remotely and asynchronously as part of a distributed team.

• Availability for at least four hours of daily overlap with the hours of 09:00–17:00 Berlin time (CET/CEST).

• Comfort with tackling ambiguously defined problems and proposing independent solutions.

• A self-directed and structured approach to work, demonstrating significant ownership with minimal supervision.

• Willingness to invest extra effort when necessary for releases, deadlines, or critical fixes.

• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

• Interest or experience in software security, accessibility, user experience for older adults, DiGA, medical devices, regulated environments, startup/consultancy work, or DevOps is desirable but not mandatory.
