Flex Medical Science Liaison

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver on-demand and proactive medical support in the field tailored to the needs of the organization.

• Engage in fair and balanced scientific discussions while addressing unsolicited inquiries.

• Refer complex questions to Medical Information as appropriate.

• Provide medical presentations to physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other relevant audiences.

• Offer short-term coverage for KOLs, institutions, and accounts.

• Sustain territory relationships and update territory plans for a smooth transition back to MSLs.

• Deliver compliant medical education on priority topics such as disease state, mechanism of action (MOA), and safety/REMS.

• Stay informed about scientific literature, treatment landscapes, and emerging data related to rare kidney diseases.

• Represent the organization and coordinate logistics at regional and national congresses.

• Document insights from healthcare professionals (HCPs), medical trends, and unmet needs.

• Record interactions in the CRM within 48 hours while adhering to Medical and Compliance guidelines.

• Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of medical projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• An advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline is strongly preferred, such as PharmD, MD/DO, PhD, PA, or NP.

• An equivalent combination of education and relevant job experience may be acceptable.

• A minimum of 2 years of MSL experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry; relevant clinical or academic experience may also be considered.

• Experience in nephrology or rare diseases, particularly IgAN or FSGS, is highly preferred.

• Proven experience collaborating with KOLs, medical congresses, and cross-functional matrix teams.

• Extensive scientific knowledge in assigned molecules/products and therapeutic areas.

• Strong scientific acumen and the ability to engage in peer-to-peer conversations with KOLs on complex medical topics.

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

• Capacity to synthesize and convey scientific information in a compliant, balanced, and engaging manner.

• Strategic thinking, collaboration, project management, organizational skills, and proactive problem-solving abilities.

• Familiarity with FDA guidelines and regulations, PhRMA Code, and other compliance and industry standards.

• Proficient with CRM systems such as Veeva, standard field reporting, and virtual engagement tools.

• Professional conduct, collaboration, integrity, and the ability to promote a positive team atmosphere.

• Must reside within the designated territory.

• Willingness to travel up to 60–80%.

• Availability to attend regional and national meetings as required.

• Some evening and weekend work may be necessary.
