Fleet Supervisor – Mobile Clinic Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Plan, organize, and oversee fleet functions, services, and activities that support mobile clinical operations.

• Supervise Class A drivers as well as fleet administration personnel.

• Manage the maintenance and modifications of mobile medical clinics and support vehicles.

• Drive initiatives aimed at enhancing fleet uptime, reducing operating costs per mile, improving driver safety, and ensuring regulatory audit readiness.

• Handle hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, recognition, and disciplinary actions.

• Ensure compliance with FMCSA/DOT regulations concerning driver files, hours of service, testing, inspections, maintenance records, registration, taxes, and permits.

• Maintain and audit Driver Qualification Files in accordance with 49 CFR Part 391.

• Oversee compliance with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and the Electronic Logging Device (ELD) program under 49 CFR Part 395.

• Review vehicle maintenance and inspection records as per 49 CFR Part 396.

• Maintain a cloud-based vehicle and staff reporting system along with accurate service records.

• Supervise pre- and post-trip inspections, DVIR corrective actions, work orders, and readiness for roadside inspections.

• Monitor weather and route conditions, providing guidance on safer and more efficient routes.

• Communicate with drivers and authorize emergency repairs or vehicle replacements as necessary.

• Track fleet KPIs such as uptime, MTTR, cost per mile, fuel efficiency, idle time, and accident rates.

• Coordinate DOT-mandated drug and alcohol testing in collaboration with Human Resources.

• Assist with incidents and accidents, including evidence collection and corrective action reporting.

• Oversee driver recruiting, onboarding, training, retention, licensing renewals, and re-certification processes.

• Manage driver travel cards, MHC payment cards, and fuel card usage.

• Ensure adherence to multi-state Highway Use Tax and Weight-Mile Tax regulations.

• Perform additional assigned duties.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• A valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.

• At least 5 years of CDL driving experience.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in transportation, supervising drivers, and coordinating activities for 5 or more vehicles.

• Over 5 years of experience with cloud-based fleet/personnel management systems is highly desirable.

• A valid U.S. driver's license is necessary.

• Willingness and ability to drive between work locations.

• Must successfully pass the National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation.

• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and DOT/FMCSA audit readiness.

• Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and cloud-based fleet/personnel management systems.

• Proficiency in the MS Office Suite.

• Flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and after hours.

• Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
