This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Develop software that interfaces directly with hardware, covering areas such as microcode, IP-specific firmware, FPGA, and DSPs.
β’ Design and create interfaces that abstract the intricate details of low-level hardware from the upper layers of software and firmware.
β’ Conduct design and code evaluations.
β’ Test and validate the implementations of products.
β’ Collaborate with seasoned engineers to tackle new and intriguing challenges.
β’ Contribute to custom silicon solutions during an eight-month co-op starting in January 2027.
β’ Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student.
β’ Pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
β’ Proficient in C programming and system software.
β’ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
β’ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
β’ Strong interpersonal abilities, capable of collaborating and influencing across various disciplines.
β’ Self-motivated, taking ownership, and driving issues to resolution.
β’ General understanding of embedded systems, digital ASIC design, and software/firmware development and testing methodologies is advantageous.
β’ Preferable experience in C++, Rust, System C, Python, and/or Domain Specific Language modeling.
β’ Familiarity with processors, servers, and system software architecture is a plus.
β’ Knowledge of SoC architecture, SoC subsystem architecture, IP architecture, and/or microarchitecture is desirable.
β’ Must reside and work in Canada.
β’ Not eligible for Intel Immigration Sponsorship.
β’ Fully remote work model.
β’ Occasional visits to Intel sites as needed for business purposes.
