Fire Risk Assessor – Sub-Contracting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Conduct fire risk assessments for clients.

• Provide verbal recommendations on-site and document them in formal reports.

• Deliver high-quality fire risk assessment reports.

• Serve as a primary customer contact during site visits.

• Enhance customers’ perception of the company positively.

• Exhibit industry-leading fire safety expertise to create compliant assessments.

• Generate precise and efficient documentation.

• Work collaboratively with the administrative team to establish effective practices.

• Implement best-practice techniques when performing fire risk assessments.

• Take accountability for the quality of service provided to fire risk assessment clients and staff.

• Stay updated with fire legislation and incorporate it into assessments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience and IFE / IFSM certification.

• Comprehensive understanding of current legislation related to The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

• In-depth knowledge of relevant British Standards pertaining to fire and life safety systems.

• Proficient communication skills.

• Ability to establish and maintain long-term professional relationships.

• Capability to produce high-quality work and reports.

• Strong organizational skills and timely report submission.

• Experience conducting assessments for Commercial, Industrial, and Domestic buildings; 2 redacted FRA reports will be required.

• Excellent computer and electronic device proficiency.

• Proven experience in completing Fire Risk Assessments.

• Accredited at the “Member” level with the Institute of Fire Engineers or Institute of Fire Safety Managers, or listed on the IFSM or IFE “competent risk assessor” register.

• High literacy levels and strong written communication skills.

• Outstanding verbal communication abilities.

• Proficiency in planning and organizing workloads to meet service delivery deadlines.

• Valid UK driving license.

• Desirable: Additional recognized professional qualification in fire safety management and fire risk assessments from reputable organizations, including Fire Protection Association, Fire Industry Association, or NEBOSH Fire.
