FinOps Engineer – Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and enhance cloud cost reporting across platforms such as Azure, AWS, and GCP.

• Define, design, implement, and maintain high-quality tools for processes including budgeting, variance analysis, anomaly detection, and executive reporting.

• Update, improve, and transition data pipelines, reporting models, dashboards, and automation that support FinOps operations.

• Advance cost allocation by refining labeling, tagging, allocation, showback, and chargeback methodologies.

• Assist in cost optimization efforts and promote efficiency enhancements.

• Manage reporting and analytical solutions that involve SQL, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and associated technologies.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to enhance cloud financial accountability and governance.

• Establish a solid organizational foundation for team data by documenting operational, development, deployment, and collaboration workflows.

• Leverage artificial intelligence (AI) to expedite and automate tasks and processes, including cross-functional campaigns, job responsibilities, operational resolutions, and monitoring.

• Guarantee the continuity of FinOps tools, reports, and capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in FinOps, cloud engineering, cloud operations, or similar technical fields.

• In-depth knowledge of cost management using native Azure, AWS, and GCP services, as well as third-party tools like CloudZero, Vantage, or CloudHealth.

• Proficient in SQL, data analysis, reporting platforms, and dashboard development (Power BI is preferred).

• Experience in supporting financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, or cost optimization initiatives.

• Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to translate verbal and written interactions into actionable requirements and deliverables.

• Familiarity with data pipelines on platforms like Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Kubecost, Python, or equivalent data and cloud financial management frameworks.
