Finnish Language Specialist – Freelance AI Trainer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Finland.

📋 Description

• Engage with advanced language models on topics related to the Finnish language.

• Document instances of model failures to enhance reasoning capabilities.

• Conduct conversations with the model regarding various language scenarios.

• Assess the accuracy of facts and the soundness of logical reasoning.

• Capture error traces that can be reproduced for further analysis.

• Propose enhancements for prompt engineering and metrics evaluation.

• Assist in training AI models tailored for Finnish-speaking users.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise in Finnish language encompassing grammar, syntax, morphology, spelling, phonology, and pragmatics.

• Proficiency in assessing verb conjugation, case inflection, vowel harmony, sentence structure, as well as formal and informal language, and regional variations, including nuances of the Finnish writing system.

• Competence in conversing with language models about language scenarios.

• Ability to verify factual accuracy and logical coherence.

• Skill in documenting reproducible error traces.

• Capacity to recommend improvements in prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.

• Strong metacognitive communication skills, demonstrating processes clearly (“showing your work”).

• A master’s or PhD in Finnish language, linguistics, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience with peer-reviewed publications, teaching, or conducting linguistic analysis projects is advantageous.
