Financial Systems Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for NetSuite.

• Take ownership of the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of NetSuite across accounts, workflows, records, searches, roles, and permissions.

• Manage the broader finance technology stack and integrations, which include Ramp, Coupa, Avalara, Stripe, FloQast, and Pigment.

• Enhance and expedite month-end and quarter-end closing processes through automation and improved workflows.

• Collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, Procurement, Data Engineering, and Product Engineering to develop scalable system solutions.

• Oversee the intake, prioritization, and execution of finance system requests through a ticketing system.

• Lead system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements from initial scoping to full adoption.

• Utilize AI-driven and automation solutions to minimize manual tasks and enhance data quality.

• Assess and optimize manual and fragile finance-stack integrations.

• Work with the data team to establish a finance data mart, reporting dashboards, and data governance.

• Assist with internal controls, SOX readiness, audits, access reviews, and change-management documentation.

• Establish technical standards, documentation, and best practices for financial systems.

• Report to and work closely with the Director of Financial Systems.

• Contribute to expanding the financial systems function from a single individual to a team of two.

⛳️ Requirements

• Approximately 6–8 years of experience in financial systems.

• Extensive hands-on expertise in NetSuite administration and configuration.

• Knowledge of accounting and finance processes, including month-end close, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and record-to-report.

• Practical experience with Ramp, Coupa, Avalara, Stripe, and FloQast, including their integration with NetSuite.

• Familiarity with APIs and middleware.

• Experience building and maintaining dependable integrations and automations.

• Background in applying AI to finance or system workflows.

• Strong project management skills.

• Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives from requirements gathering to delivery.

• Experience with ticketing systems like Jira.

• Excellent communication abilities and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Experience working with external vendors and partners.

• Self-motivated individual who challenges the status quo, takes ownership, and provides strong recommendations.

• Proven track record in a high-growth SaaS or fintech environment.

• Experience in scaling systems and controls in a pre-IPO/SOX context is especially valuable.

• Knowledge of NetSuite SuiteScript and SuiteQL is advantageous.

• Experience with Pigment is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with finance data marts, such as Snowflake, and connected reporting platforms, such as Hex, will be a plus.
