Financial Services Consumer Panel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the evolution of financial services regulation within the UK.

• Ensure that the interests of consumers are prioritized during the FCA’s policy creation and execution.

• Provide constructive feedback and challenge to assist the FCA in achieving its strategic and operational goals throughout the policy process.

• Collaborate directly with the FCA at various levels to influence the regulator’s policies, rules, and reactions to emerging challenges impacting financial services consumers and small businesses.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge and a proven history of engaging with consumer, policy, or financial services matters in one or more of the following fields: Mortgages and Consumer Finance, Retail Investments, Retail Insurance.

• Strong passion for, or history of advocating for the interests of consumers from diverse backgrounds, including those with vulnerable characteristics.

• Proven experience in contributing to policy, consumer advocacy, research, financial services, and associated public interest topics.

• Solid understanding of the FCA’s mission and goals, along with the implications of FCA policy and regulation on financial services and, consequently, on consumers.

• Self-driven and capable of independently managing and prioritizing their workload and time efficiently.

• Excellent analytical and writing skills, with the ability to engage, collaborate, and communicate effectively with the FCA and other stakeholders at all levels.
