Financial Reporting Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Prepare and/or assess intricate quarterly and annual Statutory NAIC financial statements, along with supporting schedules and regulatory submissions.

• Examine, interpret, and report on statutory financial statements and accompanying schedules in accordance with accounting and reporting timelines.

• Engage in the accounting close process, which includes preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and adjustments for statutory reporting.

• Perform financial analysis by legal entity in collaboration with internal business teams.

• Detect and investigate reporting issues pertaining to statutory accounting principles, NAIC guidelines, and regulatory obligations.

• Assist in the coordination of MAR control and regulatory testing.

• Encourage and facilitate change management along with departmental or enterprise initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or financial analysis, with a focus on statutory reporting.

• Bachelor's degree or comparable work experience.

• Proficient understanding of statutory accounting principles, NAIC reporting standards, and insurance financial reporting practices.

• Excellent analytical abilities, sound judgment, and meticulous attention to detail.

• Capability to research and articulate complex reporting issues effectively.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively and adapt swiftly while adhering to reporting deadlines.

• CPA or CPA Eligibility Certification is a desirable asset.
