Financial Production Controller

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage accounting operations at designated facilities

• Guide the closing process for facilities and ensure that financial reports align with corporate timelines and policies

• Generate periodic financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and international financial reporting standards

• Conduct analyses and create accounting journal entries for prepayments, accruals, payroll, inventory, and other related areas

• Carry out monthly account reconciliations

• Develop budgets and forecasts while monitoring any discrepancies

• Lead the development of quarterly forecasts for the assigned locations

• Compare actual results to forecasts and create variance analyses

• Spot financial trends, risks, and opportunities, and suggest actions accordingly

• Collaborate with operations to evaluate production metrics

• Prepare and present ad hoc cost analyses and reports

• Reconcile inventory balances between the ERP system and physical counts

• Evaluate and report on inventory reserves, including slow-moving and obsolete items

• Provide cost information for make-versus-buy decisions, price adjustments, and profitability assessments

• Execute other related tasks as needed or assigned

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration is mandatory

• A minimum of five years of relevant experience is required

• Proficient in advanced Excel and capable of learning new technologies

• Familiarity with Infor Visual ERP is advantageous

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities

• Exceptional organizational and time management skills

• Experienced in accounting and tax preparation software

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or comparable software

• Willingness to travel as necessary

• Ability to sit for extended periods at a desk and work on a computer

• Must be capable of lifting up to 15 pounds occasionally
