Financial Operations Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Process and reconcile customer invoices, ensuring precision and timely delivery.

• Identify and rectify billing discrepancies.

• Monitor accounts receivable aging and aid in resolving overdue accounts through follow-ups and collaboration with internal teams.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of processes and procedures aimed at enhancing billing and collections efficiency.

• Recognize and suggest enhancements in the order-to-cash cycle.

• Generate reports on billing status, collection-related payments, and essential metrics.

• Support month-end close by reconciling Accounts Receivable and aiding in financial reporting.

• Work collaboratively with Sales, Customer Success, Implementation, and Business Systems on billing inquiries.

• Assist during internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing audit inquiries.

• Engage with customers to resolve any payment-related issues.

• Apply customer payments to the correct accounts and maintain precise records.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

• 1-3 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or financial operations.

• Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities.

• Ability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial software (experience with Salesforce, Sage Intacct, or Zuora is advantageous).

• A collaborative mindset with a strong desire to learn and grow within the position.

• Experience with or exposure to AI-powered tools (e.g., through coursework or practical application in a work environment), with an interest in utilizing AI to enhance efficiency in financial operations.

• Demonstrated curiosity and follow-through: acquires sufficient product and domain knowledge to represent launches credibly with stakeholders and customers, validating rather than assuming.

• Experience in enhancing cross-functional processes, systems, or tools and driving those changes through adoption.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of influencing senior stakeholders, maintaining boundaries on scope or timelines with empathy, and tailoring communication for technical, GTM, and customer audiences.
